In October 2019, Medgar Lighting & Controls moved into a new space. With high ceilings and a crisp, modern feel, this office creates a space for clients to experience Medgar’s manufacturers and provide an exceptional working atmosphere for staff.

A trio of Louis Poulsen Patera pendants greets you as you enter the office—a modern chandelier that brings dynamic illumination to a contemporary space. From there, a fun and quirky Beta Calco Squiggle fixture walks you into the Café area where you can then explore the control and customization of the full spectrum Ketra Linear wall grazing fixtures against a decorative accent wall. Lumenpulse Cylinders hang above the kitchen with a Medgar green bezel finish.

In the main office area—Fluxwerx Aperture delivers an optimal balance of modern design, technical performance, and minimal energy consumption to combine quality illumination with contemporary architecture. Each of the private offices features a unique Fluxwerx luminaire family and different Lutron control keypads to showcase the wide range of our manufacturers without any areas being overwhelming.

A fully automated shading system maximizes the natural light available throughout the building. This system integrates with Lutron Athena, the lighting control system that extends throughout our entire office space.

The multi-purpose boardroom had to have flexible and functional lighting that worked as a meeting area and a classroom for training events. In the centre of the room are Fluxwerx Profile Spoke pendants. The minimalistic, open aperture design with the fully luminous interior is a statement piece over a boardroom table without being distracting when reconfiguring the room into a classroom. The highly adjustable Lumenpulse Lumencore Nano Downlight offers ambiance at the touch of a button or through pre-programmed scenes with tunable white CCT control. Along the top cove is Lumenpulse’s Lumencove RGBW fixtures used to create dynamic, indirect lighting that often boasts the colour of the winning NFL team over the weekend (or the team that beat the Dolphins … sorry Dave!).

Cooper Lighting Solutions Metalux Steeler, OHB, VHB, and TBLED Low Bay fixtures with integral Wavelinx control sensors illuminate our warehouse. This connected, scalable, and smart digital lighting system allows us to maximize flexibility and energy savings in the space.
