The City of St. Catharines set out to modernize the lighting system at the Meridian Centre from existing HID luminaires. The main goal was to realize energy savings of an LED system while enhancing player and community experience. As a multi-purpose venue, the broad range of events held here demanded a system that offered maximum flexibility and performance.

Ephesus’ Lumadapt system was selected for its unique light source offering adjustable beam angle, CCT colour tunning, unlimited programmable scenes, RGB colour integration to elevate the venue experience all while providing energy savings.

As a multi-use indoor arena, the CCT white tunning feature allows the venue to easily adapt to any event. A warm 4000K white brings out the wood tones of a basketball court. At the press of a button, the lights can change to a cool 5600k making the ice surface look crisp and clean.
The Meridian Centre stays on the cutting-edge with a dynamic and easy-to-use Lumadapt control system. The RGBA system transforms the event surface into a canvas. Each luminaire is individually addressable and controllable giving complete control to create custom scenes with white or coloured lights that energize the crowd from opening introductions to celebrating the big plays.
